Ingredients
- For the Cake Layer:

Instructions
- Prepare the Cake Layer:
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease and flour a 9x13 inch baking pan.
- Sift together flour, baking powder, and salt. Set aside.
- Beat egg yolks with 1/2 cup sugar until light and fluffy. Stir in milk and vanilla.
- In another bowl, beat egg whites until soft peaks form. Gradually add the remaining 1/2 cup sugar and beat until stiff peaks form.
- Fold the egg whites into the yolk mixture. Gently fold in the dry ingredients until just combined.
- Pour batter into prepared pan and bake for 20-25 minutes. Let cool, then cut into circles to fit your serving cups.
- Assemble the Despacito Cups:
- Mix the brewed coffee and coffee liqueur in a shallow dish.
- Dip each cake circle into the coffee mixture briefly and place one at the bottom of each serving cup.
- Spread a layer of dulce de leche over the cake.
- Whip the heavy cream with powdered sugar and vanilla until stiff peaks form. Spoon or pipe a layer of cream over the dulce de leche.
- Repeat the layers until the cups are filled, ending with a cream layer.
- Refrigerate for at least 1 hour or until set.
- Serve:
- Before serving, dust with cocoa powder and garnish with chocolate shavings.

- 1 cup 2 sticks unsalted butter, cold and cut into small pieces
- 1/4 to 1/2 cup ice water
- For the Filling:
- 6 to 8 large apples a mix of Granny Smith and Honeycrisp is ideal, peeled, cored, and sliced
- 3/4 cup sugar
- 2 tablespoons all-purpose flour
- 1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon
- 1/4 teaspoon ground nutmeg
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 2 tablespoons unsalted butter cut into small pieces
- 1 egg yolk beaten with 1 tablespoon water (for egg wash)
- Additional sugar for sprinkling on top

- Prepare the Pie Crust:
- In a large bowl, combine flour, salt, and sugar. Add butter and mix until the mixture resembles coarse crumbs.
- Gradually add ice water, stirring until the dough just comes together. Divide into two halves, form into discs, wrap in plastic, and chill for at least 1 hour.
- Prepare the Filling:
- In a large bowl, toss the apple slices with sugar, flour, cinnamon, nutmeg, and salt.
